Located in southwest Montana’s Gallatin Valley surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains, Bozeman is one of Montana’s prime spots in which to live and visit. Home to Montana State University, Bozeman also boasts a colorful history that includes tales of Lewis and Clark, early settlers, Native American history, and cowboys. John Bozeman, along with Daniel Rouse and William Beall, platted the town in 1864. He was buried in Sunset Hills Cemetery after a “mysterious” death.
