Step 1: Selecting a qualified REALTOR®

The home buying process can be a challenging and overwhelming experience, especially for first time buyers. Therefore, the most important person and resource available to you is a REALTOR®. My qualifications and experience demonstrate that I can help you fulfill your hopes for a Montana Dream Home.

Step 2: Loan Pre-Approval

When you are pre-approved for a home you know how much you can spend on your new house. Read how ERA’s quick pre-qualifying process can expedite your new home search.

Step 3: Looking for a Home

As a licensed REALTOR®, I have access to all homes and land currently for sale through all REALTORS® in the Gallatin Valley and surrounding areas. Once you have determined your home requirements, I will provide you with printouts of listings that closely meet your specifications. After you have selected the homes you wish to visit, I will arrange private showings that meet your schedule.

Step 4: Making an Offer

When we find a house that meets your requirements, we will prepare an offer to purchase document and present it to the sellers along with a check for earnest money.

Step 5: Final Loan

When your offer is accepted, you will need to begin the formal loan application process.

Step 6: Arranging Inspections

In order to ensure that the property is in condition acceptable to you, you and I work together to arrange the various inspections.

Step 7: Closing the Purchase

Almost all closings take place at the office of the five title companies in Bozeman unless you are an out-of-state/out-of-country buyer. In this case, closing documents are express mailed to you and will need to be notarized.

Step 8: Moving into your new Home

You can avoid some of the stress of moving into your new home with the help of my moving day checklist.
